Heat waves halt normal life in Assam
Usually July and August are the hottest months in Assam. In our childhood, entire month of July was given as summer vacation. In 2021, July and August were not that hot as expected. But September surprised us all with a fiery sun.
Since 4th to 13th September 2021, this region has witnessed serious temperature rise. It was similar to days in July and August during the previous years. People were waiting for the winter to arrive but the past week was a disaster in terms of heat waves.
Earlier except in one or two such abnormal weather patterns during September were rare. People don't expect such hot days during September. On 14th of September, the temperature has gone down a little bit.
